To get secret characters in the game, you must beat it repeatedly in hard mode. The secret characters will interrupt your game and if you win
all the matches without using a continue then you will get the secret
character that interrupted your match.
To simply crush Rugal, hold DOWN + A + B to charge your special power to maximum. Now perform all the attacks you can within this limit. You can use this attack over and over. Also, when Rugal shoots his "forcefield", press Top-Right (or Top-Left) on the joystick.
